Black Friday, Cyber Monday – How about Start Up Saturday?

No, we’re not suggesting that you can start up a recruitment business in a single Saturday.

Anyway, this Saturday you’re probably busy unpacking the various online bargains that have arrived from your activities on the aforementioned shopping days!

Suppose you’re a recruitment professional, and like many such people you’ve often thought about starting up your own business.

Suppose too, just for a moment, that you’ve actually looked at the possibility quite closely. You’ll be familiar then with all the issues that need addressing.

Financial backing comes high up the list.

Ideally it would need to be at a good rate, with few strings. From people who understand recruitment. Then come premises. You perhaps thought about the ‘bedroom recruiter’ route but then thought better of it. Finding, and equipping, an office though is quite a project.

It’s not just equipment either is it?

There are the systems and back office requirements, without which you’re going to be less than competitive. To say the least.

There’s the branding and website to sort. Then the legal and tax implications.

And then there’s the financial planning to see you through the start up days when commitment might be high but cash flow is tight.

Now, if you could find one, single, central, source of help in all of those areas, making them all available to you – at the same time! – you’d reconsider wouldn’t you? Suddenly it would all seem so much more feasible.

We can help, The Recruit Venture Group provides 100% funding, shares and dividends, a guaranteed salary, no financial risk and access to a full back office support function to support start up recruitment businesses.

If you’re serious about starting up on your own, and you’ve got around five years experience, talk to us.

As we said, we’re not suggesting that you can start up a recruitment business in a single Saturday. We’ll want to delve more and talk with you about your ideas, you can be assured.

But, it you really are serious about it we reckon you’ve probably done a lot of thinking and planning already. So, it won’t take much more than a Saturday to get your thoughts in order, put your CV together and write a single sheet of A4 with your contact details, location and a statement of overall objectives will it?

And that’s all you need to have in front of you to APPLY NOW

The Autumn Statement for those wanting to start up a recruitment business

The Autumn Statement …
autumn-statement

For Those Wanting To Start Up A Recruitment Business
Last week was (another!) important time in politics! Not that we’re about to make any political points. Except to say that one of the key points made in the summary of the Chancellor’s Autumn statement was this

£400m into venture capital funds through the British Business Bank to unlock £1bn in finance for growing firms
Now that’s interesting! For two reasons. Firstly, if it all comes to fruition, there are going to be a lot of growing businesses, and growing businesses look for staff. So there has to be a good time coming for recruitment.

What better time then to set up your own recruitment business?

You’ve probably thought about it before, but the market not being right wasn’t always the thing that stopped you. Was it?

No, there were all those other challenges involved in starting up a recruitment business.

Getting financial backing for a start. And, you’d need the systems and software, because without it you’re not going to be able to compete. Premises have to organised, unless you want to go down the ‘bedroom recruiter’ route – which brings its own challenges.

Backing to start up is one thing, but sustained support, to help you through the inevitable early days cash problems is just as necessary. And let’s not forget the legal issues, and branding, and website building. All in all it proved a bit too daunting. Didn’t it?

But, the Chancellor is going to help!

Let’s assume that all those growing businesses really do start to grow, and start to look for staff. Then now must be the time for you to start.

Here’s the second interesting thing. We’re ahead of the game. We do venture capital.

Our Recruit Ventures business model is tailored to deliver funding to recruitment professionals who want to start up on their own.

Typically they’re people with five years overall experience, and three years track record in their current role.

If they’re serious about starting up on their own we’ll provide 100% funding, shares and dividends, a guaranteed salary, no financial risk and access to a full back office support function to help you start up their own business.

And, without making any political points, if you are serious about starting up we bet we can deliver the capital and support you’ll need rather quicker than any government scheme will.

We’d venture to suggest that, if you want to cash in on the growing market, we’re the better option.

Go with us. Grow with us. Contact us on info@recruitventures.com.

We can support you launch your own recruitment business.

Starting your own recruitment business – Next year you wont be an Elf, You’ll be a giant

Starting Your Own Recruitment Business Means That Next Year You Won’t Be An Elf.

You’ll Be A Giant!

Even Santa needs an army of helpers. The willing elves who strive for twelve months to bring a perfect end to the year. And a very good job they do too.Sound familiar? Now, this isn’t about spoiling the magic of Christmas. Far from it. But it is about taking stock of your year. Another year in which you’ve been a willing helper, a hard worker and a loyal elf.

Not that there’s anything wrong with being an elf. It’s just that you’ve got bigger ambitions. A plan. OK, maybe you’re not actually able to deliver exactly what every boy and girl wants, down their chimneys, before midnight on December 24th.

But you can trade on your experience, your contacts and your industry knowledge to deliver a really outstanding recruitment consultancy experience, for clients and candidates alike. And that’s your dream isn’t it?

Except that you’ve been through the planning before and always hesitated because there are obstacles. Premises. Staff. Investment from a backer to find – because it’s going to cost money to start up, and some more money to get you through the difficult ‘carry on through cash flow’ days that define the start up period.

And of course there are all the other issues to address. You take them for granted now, because your boss provides them, but those software systems that make a consultancy tick need to be in place from day one. As do the ‘phone lines, and the stationery, and the furniture……

Maybe being an elf isn’t too bad after all you thought.

Think again. Think about The Recruit Venture Group business model.

We provide 100% funding, shares and dividends, a guaranteed salary, no financial risk and access to a full back office support function for people just like you, to help and support them start up their own recruitment businesses.

So, if you’ve got around five years relevant experience, and the desire to succeed, maybe it’s time to take the leap and do it. Become your own boss. Run your own recruitment business.

It will take a little time of course. But you know that. And you’re not afraid of hard work.

With a serious track record of establishing recruitment businesses across the uk, and just about everything you’ll need to get started we can make it all worthwhile.

Tired of being an elf? Apply Now, This time next year you could be a giant!

Next Year You Could Write Your Own Cheque

Working As A Recruitment Consultant And Wondering If, Just Maybe, There’s Going To Be A Christmas Bonus? Next Year You Could Write Your Own Cheque!

Who doesn’t, in all honesty, start to wonder, at this time of year if there might be, just might be, a Christmas bonus coming in the next pay cheque? It’s not unreasonable after all. You’ve worked hard all year. You’ve made the contacts, hit the targets. You’ve found clients who needed candidates, and you’ve placed candidates into work.

You’ve kept your busy desk busy and you’ve created team spirit within your team. So why not receive a bit of Christmas spirit in return?

Doesn’t always work that way though does it? To be fair, you’re not running the company so you don’t know the full picture of what the overheads were for the year, or where the income has to be spent.

But suppose you were the boss. Then you’d know.

And now you think about it you’ve often thought about being the boss. Haven’t you?

Setting up on your own. Doing it your way. You’ve got the experience, the know how, and the contacts. But, when you did think about it you ran into the problems. With or without a bonus that salary is at least regular, and sort of comfortable. Then there were all the other obstacles you saw in the way of setting up your own recruitment business. Raising the capital, finding – and affording – premises. The systems and software, the ‘phone lines and computers, the legal minefield of forming a company.

‘Best leave it you’ thought. And you worked hard for another year. And wondered if it would be recognised – with a bonus. Which it might not.

So suppose it was possible to set up on your own with all the support you needed.

Suppose, somewhere, Santa had a sack full of capital to invest in you, a team to guide and support you and all the specialist expertise you’d need to back your venture.

That sound you can hear? It could just be sleigh bells. Because we could be on our way to help.

At Recruit Ventures we have a business model that provides 100% funding, shares and dividends, a guaranteed salary, no financial risk and access to a full back office support function to support start up recruitment businesses.

Now, with all of that support you would set up on your own, wouldn’t you? And when you did you’d drive it hard. Work with even more dedication than you do now. Because it would be yours. You’d have the full picture. You’d be in control of your own destiny.

And because you’d put all that effort in, there’s every reason to believe that come Christmas you’d be due a bonus. With a cheque you could write yourself!

If you’ve got around five years recruitment experience, maybe three of them running your own desk or team, and you’re serious about setting up on your own, it would be worth your while talking to us.

Don’t put a letter up the chimney though. Contact us on info@recruitventures.com.

Starting your own recruitment business can make you more than small change

Starting Your Own Recruitment Business Can Make You More Than Small Change.

If You’re Ready To Make Big Changes!
If you’re thinking of starting your own recruitment business it’s pretty obvious that you’re going to be facing some changes. From employee to employer. From doing it their way, to doing it your way. All of which is good.

But, and this isn’t about raining your parade, it’s being realistic, there are other changes too. For all its frustrations the current job does produce a regular salary every month, and the thought of running your own show sometimes makes that a suddenly safe and attractive option.

You’ll have to be ready to get your hands dirty in ways you’ve perhaps not before. When you’re the boss the office and all its facilities, furnishings and equipment all become your problem. As do the broken broadband connection, the blocked toilet and – oh yes trying to grow the business at the same time.

All of that is without the finance. There’s finding finance in the first place of course. The actual capital you’ll need to set up, get an office, and equip it with ‘phones, computers and software. But then there’s the day to day accounting, the dealing with HMRC and all the invoicing and payments that make a recruitment consultancy tick.

Recently the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) announced that KPMG Small Business Accounting had joined its business partnership scheme. It offers a service to REC members, helping them with accountancy issues.

It was interesting to note something that Damian Wasey, Head of Sector Partnerships at KPMG Small Business Accounting said. This was it.

“As changes in legislation such as the introduction of auto-enrolment, and seasonal fluctuations in the labour market take effect, recruitment companies face greater strain on their admin function than ever before. We believe that accountants for recruitment firms should therefore be doing much more than just the basics. They should also be offering insights across all kinds of business-critical areas, from cash flow to generating management reports and advising on finance options’.

It’s a very fair point, and endorses the fact that starting up a recruitment business will mean facing more changes than even you had perhaps realised.

At Recruit Ventures we’ve long believed that a recruitment start up needs informed, experienced, guidance and mentoring alongside the essential capital injection.

That’s why our business model is exactly right for recruitment professionals wanting to start up on their own. Typically they’re people with five years overall experience, and 3 years track record in their current role. We’ll provide 100% funding, shares and dividends, a guaranteed salary, no financial risk and access to a full back office support function to help you start up their own business.

And we’ll help you with accountancy, invoicing procedures and road tested admin systems. Because you’ve never needed them more.

So, if you’re going to start on your own, be prepared to make the obvious lifestyle changes. And be prepared to meet the new and increasingly important changes in the industry. We think we can help.

If you’re ready to meet those changes – and want to make more than small change Contact us on info@recruitventures.com

Is Crowdfunding A Key Word In Starting A Recruitment Business ?

Is Crowdfunding A Key Word In Starting A Recruitment Business ?

Key Words – Crowd funding
Key words are important. They determine who reads content, and how blogs are communicated.

Crowdfunding. Starting. Recruitment. Business.

Our point here is that there are a lot of links between those key words on the internet just now. Certainly there’s a lot of interest in starting up a recruitment business. We know that. as it’s our world. and Crowdfunding is the new option for raising finance. Businesses of every shape and, projected, size are using it .

When it comes to linking crowdfunding to recruitment you, if you’re recruitment professional, might find it’s an unexpected fusion. Or at least not what you’re looking for. That’s because much of the recruitment tied to crowdfunding is about recruiting ‘would be’ investors. There are many websites dedicated to that sole purpose.

So is there another, more direct link? In theory you could recruit investors to back you in starting up your own recruitment business, from a crowdfunding campaign. It would be cheaper – even with today’s interest rates, than going to the bank. It would be less demanding than a loan from other sources. It would show that you’re innovative, modern and in step with the latest business practices – projecting a great image to potential customers.

But, would it really do the job?

Let’s assume that, if you’re reading this with interest it’s partly because we got the key words right (!) but also because you’re probably a recruitment consultant, running a team maybe, or driving a busy desk. You’ve got five years or so experience. Maybe three of those years have been spent acquiring knowledge of a specific sector. And you’d like to start up on your own. Because you’ve got ideas of how it should be done. Because you’d like to make some money – for you rather than your employer.

If that is you, you’ve probably made some initial plans and even explored how to raise the finance. And of course you’ve realised that starting up is a complex process. You’ve got to find premises. There are the computers and equipment to source, and the vital systems to install. All of it to do, and all of it needing money, because the first few months will be as much about outgoings as they are income.

Ideally then, even with the money in place, you need someone to support you. Someone to guide you on how best to allocate your resources, and in what priority. Someone who understands recruitment.

That’s where we come in with our own key words. Word like these –

‘Our Recruit Ventures business model is tailored for recruitment professionals just like you. If you’re serious about starting up on your own we’ll provide 100% funding, shares and dividends, a guaranteed salary, no financial risk and access to a full back office support function to help you start up your own business’.
It’s not money from an anonymous bank manager, nor funds from a crowd of well meaning, but highly expectant, investors. It’s money, and support and guidance, from people who really understand recruitment.

So here’s a few more key words. Recruit Ventures. Help. You. To. Start. Your. Own Recruitment. Business. And. Succeed.

Oh. And two more vital words. Contact us …

“The secret to getting ahead is getting started”

When It Comes To Starting Your Own Recruitment Business, Consider This
Mark Twain quote
“The Secret Of Getting Ahead Is Getting Started”
A phrase that could have been written specifically for the recruitment professional thinking of starting up their own business. In fact it was coined by Mark Twain. But even though he didn’t have recruitment start ups in mind, what he said makes a lot of sense.

If you’re less than happy with what you’re doing right now, which is probably working as a consultant for a recruitment company, you’ve doubtless considered starting your own business. It’s not uncommon in the recruitment business. You’re running a busy desk, or managing a team, and no matter how often you hit the targets, and make the numbers, the rewards never seem to grow. What’s more, given your experience you’ve probably formed your own ideas on how to run a business. Deliver a better service; do things sharper.

The problem is – getting started. It may not be growing quickly but that salary is regular. As regular as your mortgage and bills. Leaving it behind is scary enough but, and you know this because you’ve thought it through, there are a lot of costs involved in starting up. Premises, equipment, phone lines, a car – all the things you need to operate. And that’s without the software and systems you need to deliver that new level of service you see as your point of difference.

So, you need a bank loan, or help from a finance company, and you’ve worked out that that’s expensive, and somehow all the grand plans start to slide away, and suddenly you’re back doing what you always do.

But, as the man said, “The secret of getting ahead is getting started”. And there is a way.

Our Recruit Ventures business model is exactly the right start point for recruitment professionals wanting to start up on their own.Typically they’re people with five years overall experience, and 3 years track record in their current role. Enough experience to do it, but so far not the opportunity to start it. We can help. We’ll provide 100% funding, shares and dividends, a guaranteed salary, no financial risk and access to a full back office support function to help you start up their own business.

That thing about “The secret of getting ahead is getting started” isn’t the full quote.

What Mark Twain went on to say was this

“The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and starting on the first one.”

Looks like he was right again. Because when you break down the complex and overwhelming task of starting up your own recruitment business into ‘small manageable tasks’ you’ll be closer than ever to your dream. And as for the ‘starting on the first one’, that’s easier still. You call us.

Make US your first task, Contact us on info@recruitventures.com and we’ll help you get started. Then you get on with making it a success.

Because – ‘The secret of getting ahead is getting started’.

Be the Boss of Your Own Recruitment business but listen to the Apprentice first

Be The Boss Of Your Own Recruitment Business
Be the boss – apprentice
But Listen To The Apprentice First!
Perhaps one of the most visible recruitment business start ups of recent times is Hyper Recruitment Solutions, set up by one Ricky Martin (no – not that one !). You’ll might remember that this one won The Apprentice in 2012.

As the winner he of course got a hefty £250,000 investment from Sir Alan Sugar. Job done then. Up and running, with no problems. Because after all, that’s all that’s holding you back isn’t it? If you have the financial backing you’d start on your own tomorrow. Wouldn’t you?

Well you might. But before you do it’s worth considering some of the points Mr Martin made in a recent interview.

We’ll leave aside the fact that despite Sir Alan’s backing he had to ‘get out the screwdriver’ and build his own desk. You’re presumably aware that starting a business means getting your hands dirty.

Where it starts to get really interesting is the ‘back story’. Mr Martin was used to working in a large recruitment company. If you’re reading this with any interest you probably are too. And just like Ricky you’ve got ideas and want to start on your own. What Ricky realised the minute he did start, even with that quarter of a million of Sir Alan’s smackers in his account, was that suddenly all those things you took for granted, like the systems and software aren’t – anywhere! You’ve got to start from scratch.

Mr Martin then saw with startling clarity that entrepreneurship means that you’ve got to make it work. And to make it work you’ve got to sort all the procurement issues that loom over a start up. There are premises to sort. Computers to sort. Cars maybe. The phones. Furniture, stationery, branding, website……you get the picture. He was left to sort it all.

Here’s an interesting point too. With commendable honesty Ricky admitted that maybe his ego was such that he found it hard to ask for help. It’s a big issue. You’re probably an outstanding recruitment consultant. But with the best will in the world that doesn’t make you an outstanding web designer, branding expert or software installer. Getting professional advice is essential.

None of this means that he isn’t grateful to Sir Alan, nor that Lord Sugar has simply left him to sink or swim. On the contrary. Having ‘Britain’s toughest boss’ as a mentor has been really important to Ricky, who freely admits that having an experienced, knowledgable, partner has been a huge benefit.

So, ideally, if you’re thinking about setting up your own recruitment business you’ ll be looking for rock solid financial backing, a mentor, the systems and software you need from day one, and of course someone to guide you through all that initial procurement of offices, desks and phone lines.

We might just be exactly who you’re looking for!

At Recruit Ventures we have a business model that provides 100% funding, shares and dividends, a guaranteed salary, no financial risk and access to a full back office support function to support start up recruitment businesses.

We’ll guide you, mentor you and support you, but you’ll be in control, and free to do what you do best. Which is recruitment.

The other bonus is that we won’t expect you to jump through hoops, performing demanding tasks every week, before humiliating yourself in the Boardroom in front of millions of viewers.

We might not be Sir Alan Sugar, but our way certainly sounds sweet doesn’t it?

Contact us on info@recruitventures.com to find out how we can guide, mentor and support you launch your own recruitment business.

You can start your own recruitment business. No joking!

You can start your own recruitment business. No joking!
There’s an old joke around the recruitment and HR industry. You may have even seen it yourself online.

A nervous but enthusiastic candidate sits down and the interviewer, who’s hiring, says –

‘We’re looking for someone with the wisdom of a 50 year old, the experience of a 40 year old, the drive of a 30 year old and the pay scale of a 20 year old’.
Like most humour, it’s rooted in truth, and there are probably days when you think that’s just about how your current employer sees you. His pays the equivalent of a 20 year old with little experience while still wanting all that wisdom, experience and drive. Which you know you’ve got.

Running a busy desk, or heading up a team, is not something you get to do unless you’ve racked up the track record. And let’s face it there are days when you seriously think about setting up on your own. To do it your way. Be in control of your own destiny. Reap the rewards of your efforts rather than make somebody else rich.

The problem is that when you think about all the implications of starting your own recruitment business it all starts to sound like a joke. Getting financial backing for a start.

It’s not easy, and with the world becoming ever more unpredictable it’s not about to get any easier. You’d need the systems and software, because without it you’re not going to be able to compete. Premises have to organised, unless you want to go down the ‘bedroom recruiter’ route – with brings its own challenges. Because despite having reduced overheads you’re still going to have cash flow issues.

A proper brand identity and a good, navigable, website are essential, and they’re best achieved with professional help – which costs money.

All of that is without the legal and contractual matters that will need sorting.

Get your head around all of that and suddenly what sounded like fun isn’t funny any more.

But if there was one complete service that steered you through it all, and supported you, you do it wouldn’t you? Here comes the punchline. There is just such a service.

Our Recruit Ventures business model is tailored for recruitment professionals in exactly that predicament. Typically they’re people with five years overall experience, and three years track record in their current role.

If they’re serious about starting up on their own we’ll provide 100% funding, shares and dividends, a guaranteed salary, no personal financial risk and access to a full back office support function to help you start up their own business.

So if that picture sounds familiar, and you really do want the chance to put your wisdom, experience and drive into something with a better pay scale than a 20 year old it’s worth talking to us.

We can help. We’re not joking!
