You can start your own recruitment business. No joking!
There’s an old joke around the recruitment and HR industry. You may have even seen it yourself online.

A nervous but enthusiastic candidate sits down and the interviewer, who’s hiring, says –

‘We’re looking for someone with the wisdom of a 50 year old, the experience of a 40 year old, the drive of a 30 year old and the pay scale of a 20 year old’.
Like most humour, it’s rooted in truth, and there are probably days when you think that’s just about how your current employer sees you. His pays the equivalent of a 20 year old with little experience while still wanting all that wisdom, experience and drive. Which you know you’ve got.

Running a busy desk, or heading up a team, is not something you get to do unless you’ve racked up the track record.
