Who doesn’t, in all honesty, start to wonder, at this time of year if there might be, just might be, a Christmas bonus coming in the next pay cheque? It’s not unreasonable after all. You’ve worked hard all year. You’ve made the contacts, hit the targets. You’ve found clients who needed candidates, and you’ve placed candidates into work.

You’ve kept your busy desk busy and you’ve created team spirit within your team. So why not receive a bit of Christmas spirit in return?

Doesn’t always work that way though does it? To be fair, you’re not running the company so you don’t know the full picture of what the overheads were for the year, or where the income has to be spent.

But suppose you were the boss. Then you’d know.
