Dennis Tennial’s ambition was always to build a recruitment business that allowed him to put in place the recruitment philosophy he had always championed.
Now the boss of the company that bears his name, Tennial Personnel, his personal story is an example of how making the jump from successful employee to successful businessman is the best decision anyone can make.
Dennis was excelling as a recruitment consultant but wasn’t getting the rewards he deserved, when he met The Recruit Venture Group that all changed.
“I made other companies a lot of money and felt that I deserved more” he said.
“My request for more was turn down by my employer and it was then that I realised it was up to me to make the change that I needed.”

“I knew I wanted to break out on my own but wasn’t sure how, then when I started talking to The Recruit Venture Group everything became clear.
“The Recruit Venture Group made starting and growing my own recruitment business as simple as possible.”
Dennis started his Ipswich-based business in 2015 and has enjoyed year on year growth, taking his business from strength to strength while delivering for his clients and candidates.
Dennis chose to partner with The Recruit Venture Group, rather than going it alone, because their model provides 100% of the finance needed to start the business, as well as offering all of the back office support like payroll, accounts, credit control, HR, IT and marketing that can otherwise bog down start-ups.
That was a huge weight off his shoulders and it removed any previous hesitations he may have had about starting a business.

“I am salesman at heart,” he said. “I know that if I’m allowed to get out there into the marketplace and meet clients and candidates, then the money will come. That has never been a worry to me.
“The Recruit Venture Group model meant that from day one me and my team were able to focus on the thing that was actually going to generate those profits, recruitment, and so we were able to establish the business very quickly.”
Dennis now has control to shape the business and its values and ultimately is building a legacy for the future.
He is also free to spend his time doing what really matters, while The Recruit Venture Group’s Central Services team deals with his businesses back-office functions.
