Frequently Asked Questions

We answer some of the most frequently asked questions about launching your own recruitment business.

+How do I qualify for support in launching my own recruitment business?
A
Answer:
The typical individual we support is a recruitment professional of at least two to three years’ experience and with a track record of success. You don’t need to have worked in a senior managerial position, and it doesn’t matter which sector of recruitment you have worked in or where in the UK you have worked. All we need to see from you is that passion, drive and commitment to want to run your own business and make it a success.
+I have never dealt with all the administration and ‘extras’ of running a business. Will I become snowed under?
A
Answer:
Absolutely not! We don’t expect you to have had any experience of the paperwork and back office responsibilities of running your own enterprise. Our model means we will take care of everything. We deal with all the legwork of launching your business, from establishing you legally to setting up the back office to deal with all the administration. Our aim is to allow you to focus on what you do best – recruitment.
+How long does take from first enquiry to business launch?
A
Answer:
It can be as quick as a few months. Once we have decided to invest in you, we do not waste time. Our tried-and-tested model will see your business fully legally and tax compliant, with robust accounting, IT, branding, payroll and other essential admin ready and in place. We take care of this so you can focus on getting ready to start driving your business from day one.
+Is there a limit to how much I can earn, and how big my business can grow?
A
Answer:
You are now a recruitment entrepreneur, and a business owner, and you will reap the rewards of your efforts. There are no limits and our support grows as you grow. You will be a joint owner of an enterprise that will be geared up for growth from day one. As the business grows, so does your earnings and so does the value of your shareholding – a real step change from the limited rewards available as a recruitment employee.
+Can I see some examples of businesses you are already supporting?
A
Answer:
We are not shy about success! In fact, we have our own dedicated marketing and PR team who are spreading the word about what we do as far and wide as we can. We now support nearly 50 independent, thriving recruitment businesses, serving a range of sectors, up and down the country. Visit our brands portfolio page <https://www.recruitventures.com/what/> to see some of the businesses we are supporting. You can also visit our news page where we regularly post articles about what both us and those businesses are up to.

+How much money will I need to put in, and will my assets be at risk?
A
Answer:
You don’t need to invest or risk a single penny. We provide 100% of the finance needed to launch the business, completely risk free. No arranging loans with the bank, no dipping into life savings and no living off credit cards. We even give you a healthy salary to cover you in those early days, meaning you will still be able to meet your outgoings. With no sleepless nights and no money worries, you will be 100% able to focus on building your business from the very start.
+Can I have an informal conversation first?
A
Answer:
Of course! Every business journey starts with a chat. We are always on the lookout for new people to invest in, and you could well be our next partner. Simply visit our ‘Apply Now’ page and fill in a few details (it doesn’t take long – honest!) and we will give you a call back. And rest assured, your contact with us will remain in the strictest confidence.
+Is this a franchise? If not, what is it?
A
Answer:
The Recruit Venture Group does not offer franchises. It invests in recruitment start-ups in a joint venture arrangement and through a model that is unique to the industry. We are shareholders in your business, but unlike a franchise, you name the business, the company vision, the strategy and the culture. We support you with finance, back office services and mentoring. Far from placing any restrictions on you growth, we actively ensure there are no barriers to you reaching your potential.
+100% of the finance risk free, full back office support and mentoring – it sounds too good to be true…
A
Answer:
The Recruit Venture Group model is a proven way to turn recruitment employees into thriving recruitment entrepreneurs. Without our package of support, many people could not even contemplate running their own business. Although we lay the groundwork and offer ongoing support, it is up to you to drive the business forward. This is why we need driven, ambitious people, because business success will not come without hard work.

Business Support

+What mentoring is available, and how often?
A
Answer:
You will have access to the whole of The Recruit Venture Group senior team, who between them have decades of experience in recruitment. Our team draws experience from a range of recruitment sectors, in agencies big and small. If there’s ever a challenge or obstacle to overcome, the chances are our top team has seen it before! Mentoring is available when you need it. If you need strategic help, if you hit snag, or even just want someone to bounce ideas off, our team is there for you. We are always at the end of the phone and we will meet with you face-to-face regularly.
+How does your Central Services Team provide back office support?
A
Answer:
We pride ourselves on offering a seamless, high quality back office solution for all of our recruitment business partners, specifically tailored to the needs of the industry. We signpost you to every resource a business needs, including accounts, payroll, credit control, IT, HR, legal and marketing and PR. That support is there from day one, and through the lifetime of your business, growing as you grow.

Your Business

+What happens to the profits of the business, and do I have equity in it?
A
Answer:
You are an owner of the business and you have a shareholding, therefore you are entitled to a dividend from any profits made. As the business grows, so does your earning potential, and there are no caps or limits. You are now a recruitment entrepreneur, not an employee, and you will have all the benefits that come with that.
+Will I ultimately be able to sell the business?
A
Answer:
Absolutely. You are a shareholder in the business and one of the key motivating factors is capturing the growth you achieve in the value of your shareholding. This is truly about creating a business legacy and reaping the rewards of your hard work and drive. If you wish to sell at some point in the future then you are perfectly entitled to do that, and we will work with you on all the options open to you.
+Do I have control of the business, and the ability to drive through my vision for it?
A
Answer:
You are the entrepreneur, you supply the hard work, the ambition and the determination to make it succeed, and that absolutely means you shaping your business strategy and planning. We do everything we can to lay the foundations for your success, taking care of the finance, taking care of the back office function, and offering support and guidance when you need it. This is your brand, your vision and ultimately it will be you who makes your business grow and thrive.

How we get you started

+Can I choose my company name and brand?
A
Answer:
Yes. This is an independent business which will be shaped by you and your vision. You get to choose the company name, and the look and feel of the brand. This is not a franchise, and you will not be required to be a ‘Recruit Venture Group company’ – it will be your brand above the office door.
+Do I automatically get things like a website, digital and IT support, and communications technology?
A
Answer:
You can’t have a fully functioning business without these things, so we make sure your website is ready to go and your phone and computer systems are ready for you to hit the ground running. We do not expect you to have to arrange all of this, we take take of it. Our professional team will be available at every step to ensure you are happy with your web and technology setup.
+Will I have office space provided for me?
A
Answer:
Yes, we will find out your requirements and work to find the best possible location for you in your chosen target market. A

To keep growing! The 50th business supported by us will soon launch, and in 2019 we will continue to launch further enterprises. But we still think not enough people know about us, and we are pushing every day to encourage more and more recruitment employees to consider becoming recruitment entrepreneurs.
