Thinking of starting your own recruitment business in 2018?

Get over it!

Wait! It’s not what it seems. The last thing we would ever do is discourage would be recruitment start ups.

No, what we’re concerned about is this. The start of a new year is obviously, and psychologically, the ideal time to launch a new business. New year, new you ….you know how the advice goes. But, it’s also the time when we’re swamped by a torrent of statistics and forecasts that, usually nowadays, predict downturns and uncertainty for business.

Just when you’ve geared yourself up to ‘do it’, the experts crank down your enthusiasm with a raft of reasons not to.

It’s already started. From the Chambers of Commerce, to the Cabinet; from the Brexit pundits to the BBC there are already warnings of growth slowing down, inflation speeding up, budgets plummeting and prices soaring.

The best advice for someone thinking of starting up their own recruitment business in 2018 then? Simply this. Get over it. Not the idea of starting up, but all the reasons why perhaps you shouldn’t.

Will there ever be a year when the predictions indicate a bright, problem free and totally rosy future? Of course not. Will another year in the same role as a recruitment professional totally satisfy you? Of course not.

Is there really any reason why 2018 should not be the year you start on your own? Again – of course not.

That is, if you really want to do it.

The big picture problems of national and international events will always be there. They’ll change, and we hope for the better, but they will still be there.

In truth, the local problems facing commerce and businesses on your patch will always be there too. But that’s what makes it worthwhile. As businesses adapt to market changes, flex their muscles to meet the challenges of skills shortages, Brexit and whatever else, they will need staff. Some will need lots of temporary staff; some will be seeking permanent people for manufacturing or logistics; others will be concentrating on finding two key directors – and they’ll all need help from bright, focussed, go getting recruiters.

And there’s your opportunity right there.

The problem though is that you’ve never yet found the way to launch your own business in a way that gives you maximum opportunity with minimal risk.

Hello!  We’re  The Recruit Venture Group.  We exist specifically to help recruitment professionals start up  their own businesses.

We provide 100% risk free funding. With shares in, and dividends from, your own company, and able to pay yourself a salary from the start, you’ll be ideally placed to concentrate on recruitment.

You’ll also  get full access to our back office and systems. That’s even more peace of mind. Not just because you don’t have to worry about those things but because you’ll be operational, efficient and competitive from day one.

We’ll have helped you at the outset with branding and finding premises. We’ll have guided you through the ‘legals’ of setting up your business, and we’ll stay with you to monitor your cash flow.

It’s a two way street. We want to know that you have five years consecutive experience in the recruitment industry, and ideally three years track record within the same sector. We want to see your business plan, and we most certainly want to gauge your drive and enthusiasm.

But, if you tick all of those boxes you’re going to be fine with pitching your business dream to us.  And frankly if you really have ticked all those boxes you’re going to be fine dealing with all those other ‘possible’  (let’s face it – we’re never going to believe predictions in the way we used to) challenges this year, or any year, might bring.
