The Happy Recruiter. It could be you.

It should be you.  Starting your own recruitment business could change your life in more ways than you think.

From the old school wisdom and clichés of ‘a happy worker is a productive worker’ to more modern concepts such as ‘Wellbeing’ it’s generally acknowledged that work, and life, is better when you’re happy.

The debate over what makes someone happy will never be resolved because we’re all different. For some that Ferrari is what it will take, whilst for others, a high-performance car pales into insignificance compared to simply having peace of mind.

But, whatever the rewards are, or not, it’s what you do that has such an effect on your happiness. It’s how you spend your time at work that impacts most on how you feel about life.

Take the role of many a recruitment consultant. Exciting, varied, challenging, satisfying because you find work for candidates and people for employers – it certainly ticks all of those boxes. But, when you’ve racked up some experience, know how it works and starts to form your own ideas of how it could be done ‘your way’, sometimes the days become less satisfying and more frustrating. Another target hit but hit for someone else.

So strike out on your own.

The obvious answer then is to ‘go it alone’. Set up your own recruitment business, and do it ‘your way’. But, as even the most entrepreneurial recruitment consultant and “would-be” start up knows, there are quite a few challenges to meet in doing that. And they’re challenges that don’t automatically make you happy.

Finding the right financial support, organising software and systems, creating a brand, moving into the right premises – they’re all pretty demanding and, being short on the happiness factor, often stop a startup – before it starts.

There’s the worry too, that even if you can tick all of those boxes, you’re taking on a risk. Being an employee might be frustrating at times, but at the salary is regular. How do you maintain your lifestyle when you’re the one driving a new a new business? It doesn’t feel like a happy place to be.

Take away the risk.

The dream ticket then is to start and run your own business, without the risk. Because that way you can concentrate on what you do best, and what makes you happy. Recruitment. Your way.

All of that is possible with our very special business model. At The Recruit Venture Group, helping recruitment professionals start their own businesses is what we do. With zero financial risk, plus shares and dividends, you’re free to concentrate on starting up. With access to a full back office and support system, you’re operational from day one. With us behind you, your future is in front of you.

And as to that lifestyle question. With our backing you’ll be able to pay yourself a salary from the outset, giving you, even more, peace of mind and space to focus on the job at hand, which is building your own recruitment business.

We do need to know some things – for our own peace of mind. We need to be sure that you’ve got five years unbroken experience in recruitment, and preferably three of them in a specific sector. We need to know that you’re serious about starting up on your own.

Tick those boxes and take a step towards being happy.
